Come celebrate the Holy Week Triduum with us... one big liturgy celebrated over three days~
Holy Thursday, March 28th at 7 PM: Mass of the Lord's Supper. We gather to celebrate the institution of the Holy Eucharist at the "Last Supper" and as Jesus did for his disciples, we wash one another's feet in an act of humility. (wear white)
Good Friday, March 29th at Noon: Celebration of the Lord's Passion. We gather to hear the story of our Lord's passion and death as recounted in the Gospel of John. We kneel before the cross and lay our burdens at the foot of Jesus. We remember that "he was wounded for our transgressions..." (Isaiah 53:5). Although this is the one day of the year when no Mass is celebrated, Communion will be served. (wear red)
Holy Saturday, March 30th at 8 PM: The Great Easter Vigil. We gather at night around a fire. We hear the stories from Hebrew Scriptures of how our ancestors met the One, True God and how they, and we have been called and delivered to be God's own people. We light up the darkness with a new pascal candle. We celebrate the resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. We witness the baptism of a new member of our community. It is the most wonderful of liturgies with light, music, water and oil. It is the Mother of all Vigils! (wear white)
